Micromax X259 Solar phone

Micromax , an india based mobile phone manufacturer has recently announced a new model X259 powered by solar energy. X259 houses a solar panel and is capable of 1.5 hours of talk time by roughly 3 hours of solar charging. This phone is particularly attractive to people, who are constantly on the move and living in places having frequent power cuts. Simply show the phone to the sun and get it charged. This definitely is a right move in energy conservation and can cut the emissions. It is time to go green !
Micromax X259 is an entry-level phone and is priced very low at Rs 2,499 in India. The solar cell is nicely placed at the back of the phone. “Click images, listen to music, watch videos, surf the net and power all your entertainment from solar energy” , the tagline by micromax describes all about this phone.
